Targeting reef species on soft plastics is one of the most popular forms of fishing in the country and nobody knows more about it than Brian Readman.
Brian is a soft plastics guru who will teach you everything you’ll ever need to know to master this exciting form of angling. There are numerous reef species that you will potentially encounter including Pearl Perch, Sweetlip, Cobia, Emperors, Coral Trout, Yellowtail Kingfish and of course the iconic Sunshine Coast Snapper.
So if you want to target highly prized table fish on quality light tackle, then this is the charter for you.
The Equipment.
We run a full range of top of the line Daiwa tournament reels and rods for this exciting form of light tackle fishing that will get you onto quality fish.
We have a Daiwa Saltiga 3500 game reel fitted with an round alloy power knob handle and spooled with 35lb sensor braid paired with a Daiwa Saltiga 70s Dorado rod. We also have a Daiwa Morethan Branzino 3000 reel fitted with an Rcs power knob handle and spooled with 35lb sensor braid and also paired to a Saltiga 70s Dorado rod.
We have a Saltiga 4500h reel fitted with a power knob handle and spooled with 50lb sensor braid and paired to a Daiwa Saltiga game 68s-3 rod. For the overhead fan we have a Daiwa Blacksheep 300 reel fitted with an Rcs jigging handle and spooled with 40lb sensor braid which is paired to a Saltiga Hiramassa 60b rod.
