nglersadvantage.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/Angus-With-A-Blue-Threadfin-Salmon-22-09-112.jpg”>Hey everyone sorry it’s been a while since the last post, with the beginning of September the tourism trade is slackening off up here in Darwin and I have had family from overseas visiting so have been on a road trip to the big rock in the middle but back in Darwin now and with the humidity building up here the fishing is beginning to fire and have had a few charters in the last week on th neap tides producing some good catches and with the onset of the spring tides next week I would expect the Barra to fire. Also saw some Tuna beginning to turn up in the bay this week so fingers crossed on some drag burning action from them.

Just before I headed south on the road trip I had Tom Hansen from Alice Springs out with me for a full day on the Harbour where early on with the high tides we got stuck into the Queenfish on the 4lb Soft Plastic gear seeing Tom pull in 5 Queenfish around the 60cm mark with these fish doing back flips and getting the airborne antics happening before falling boat side for the happy snaps. We the crossed the Harbour to our inlets and continued to flick the Plastics around seeing Tom pull in 2 trevally, 2 Cod and a Flathead with the almighty Barra being elusive save for Tom hooking up on on briefly only to have it throw the hook.

After my trip and on the Tuesday 20th we had Geoff Clack from Newcastle, NSW along with Shane Stocker from Adelaide in SA out with us for the full day expedition and with the tide droppin the fish did not fail to dissapoint with both the boys getting good catches. We had a quick flick on the way across the bay in our Queenfish spots with Shane hooking up on the 1st cast to a nice 60cm fish followed shortly after by Geoff with 2 more Queenfish before we targeted out inlet spots and the Golden Snapper were firing hard seein Geoff catch 8  and Shane boating 10 for the session. The final count for the boys saw Shane with a tally of 1 Queenfish, !0 Golden Snapper, 2 Flathead, 2 Cod, 1 Mangrove Jack, 4 Javelin Fish,  and a Trevally. Geoff caught 2 Queenfish, 8 Golden Snapper,1 Cod, 1 Trevally, 1 Javelin Fish and a Flathead.

Thursday we had Angus Murchison and Craig Robertson from bonnie Scotland out for the afternoon session where we targeted one of the closer feeder creeks seeing Angus hook up and boat a large Long Tom on the 1st cast before a bit of an Afternoon lull before hooking up on a nice Blue Threadfin Salmon followed shortly after by a Golden Snapper and a Trevally, Craig didn’t fair as well with just a small Jvaelin Fish for his efforts. Angus also came out with us for the afternoon session on the following day along with Brian also from Scotland where the boys hooked up on some small Golden Snapper and Trevally before on the last cast of the day Angus’s small Soft Plastic was smashed and the ensuing 150mtr drag screaming run saw a metr plus Queenfish getting airborne ad as we chased across the inlet the fish went deep and steady for over half an hour, every time we came close the fish again went deep, we had it leader ed and just as we came close to netting it the 14lb leader wore through to see the mighty fish amble off to the depths from where it came, all on board wre devastated but the fish fought too hard and too long on the 4lb outfit, as they say that’s fishing!

Saturday saw us out with Jim a nd his Son Callum Priddle from Coolum on Queenslands Sunshine Coast where with a slow neap tide run out the boys struggled but Jim did manage to hook up n 2 nice Brown Mowong seeing one snag us up but getting one boat side for the obligatory happy snap before being released.  With a few smaller Trevallys and Golden Snapper for the morning we headed back across the bay happening on a school of Longtail Tunas which were skittish succeeding in a few casts on the school but with no hook ups we called it a day.

Hey everyone, well the weather has been turning it on up here in Darwin with the temperatures in the low 30′s every day and the wind abating with the spring tides the conditions have been about as perfect as we can get and with the air getting a bit muggier the fish have been playing ball as well.

Hey everyone just a quick one to let you know what’s been happening in the last week, with the spring tides fading last week we had some action early on  but with the neap tides in the last few days and with windy conditions it’s been hard work but the winds are abating and the springs are coming on again at the weekend and with some big tidal movements next week we expect the flats and creeks to be firing.

Hey everyone just a quick report for you all to let you know what’s happening on the water, I’ve been away this last week but we’re back on the water today and with the spring tides on again in the next few days we expect some action in the creeks where the Barra should be getting more and more active from here on in with the build up to the wet creating that muggy atmosphere that brings they seem to love.

Friday 5th August we had Peter from Garraway along with Todd from Mildura, VIC along with Ken Lette from TAS out with us where we flicked the Soft plastics around in Darwin’s feeder creek systems to see Todd nab 2 Catfish, a Barra and a Mudcrab of all things have a go at the Soft plastic lures while Peter also nabbed a Barra on his very 1st cast of the day followed up by a Javelin Fish while Ken hooked up on a good sized barra only to have it throw the hook after a couple of minutes of solid runs, Ken then bagged the obligatory Catfish along with a Flathead.

Monday saw us out for the afternoon session with Andrew Wood and Michael Durrand from Melbourne where we had the neap tides and crossed the harbour to fish the mangrove lined banks of some of the creek systems where the boys cast the light Soft Plastic Jig Heads up against the banks and twitched them back slowly seeing Michael bag 3 Javelin Fish, a Golden Snapper and a Flathead for his efforts while Andrew bagged just the one Javelin Fish.

Wednesday we were out again with Robert and Kay Wheatley from Melbourne out with us for the morning session joined by Peter Mullin from Byron Bay who was along for the full day session. Robert was 1st to hook up on a solid fish that did some nice work on the drag of the little Daiwa Luvias 2000 to eventually appear  through the murky water and prove to be a very solid 4kg Brown Mowong, Kay then got into the mix with 3 keeper fish and 3 different species with a Golden Snapper, a Javelin Fish and a Bream. We pushed up to the top part of the creek systems as the tide was dropping and targeted the flats where Peter sight cast to a solid fish that once again had drag screaming out and after some very solid runs was eventually brought alongside the boat where it was duly netted and topped the scales at 5kgs in the shape of a very solid Brown Mowong. Peter also had another solid hook up but this fish got in among the mangrove stubs and succeded in a bust off. We then headed back to the jetty to drop off the morning crew and were joined by Darrell Lazzaro from Geelong for the afternoon session but with the tidal change it was hard work with Peter nabbing two small Queenfish the boys worked hard to no avail seeing Darrell have on of those rare ocassions the resulted in a duck for his efforts.

Friday we were out for the morning session with Fionn Hurley from the Gold Coast where in near perfect conditions with little or no wind and glassed out water we crossed the bay and into the creek systems where with the run out tide we were into the fish early on with Fionn nabbing 4 Golden snapper, 4 Javelin Fish and a Trevally for the morning.

Hey everyone well with the water temperatures warming up we’ve seen the Barramundi action warming up also with some good bite action on the run out tides and with the spring tides currently happening the action will continue for the next few days.

Thursday we had Glen and Gwen Cunningham from Sydney out with us for the morning session where Gwen was 1st to hook up on a aerial borne Barramundi which did a few runs before falling to the net for a happy snap. Gwen then also bagged 2 Trevally, a Flathead and a Toadfish for good measure. Glen fought hard and managed to also bag 2 Trevally for the session.

Friday we had Louis Sacks from South Africa out with us for the morning session where we crossed the harbour in search of a metre plus Queenfish, we tried hard but with a wind chop stirring up the already murky water to no avail. We pushed into the creeks to flick the Soft Plastics about where Louis managed to hook up on a Bream, Trevally and a Flathead before dropping a nice Threadfin Salmon which gave a few solid runs before popping the leader.

Saturday morning we had John Dumbill and Wheldon Nickolson from Perth along with Todd Simms from Darwin where we actually had a foggy start to the day with visibility shut down we idling our way into the feeder creek systems with Wheldon first to hook up on a hard fighting catfish of all things before coming good with a nice Javelin Fish, Wheldon also bagged another nice Javelin Fish and two Cod for the morning. John also bagged a Catfish early on before coming up trumps with a nice 52cm Barra. Todd had a good hook up on a solid Barra which did a good run before spitting the hook. Todd then bagged a Cod late in the session before we headed back to the ramp.

Saturday afternoon we had Martin Lott and Kate Milbourne out with us where we pushed into the same feeder creeks we had targeted in the morning and with the tide still in the lower stages Martin was straight  into the Barramundi with a quick succession of hook ups on 5 fish seeing him get 3 boat side and with Martin hooked up on a Barra Kate was not to be outdone with a double hook up getting stuck into a Queenfish at the same time. Martin’s final tally for the afternoon was 3 Barra, 1 Catfish and a Golden Snapper with Kate just getting the 1 Queenfish.

Sunday we had Chris Macleam (Cm) from Palmerston and Chris Schilcock (Cs) from Perth out with us for the morning session where we targeted the feeder creeks again with he boys nabbing Catfish early on in the session before getting the better species with Cm nabbing 1 Catfish, 1 Javelin Fish, 1 Golden Snapper and a Barramundi along with a nice Diamond Trevally. Cs bagged 2 Catfish, a Golden Snapper and a Javelin Fish and also hooked up a Barra which got air bourne throwing the hook as it did so.

Sunday afternoon we were back on the water again with Dylon Van Lati and Luke Brind from Adelaide, SA where we crossed the harbour for the later stages of the run out tide where Luke bagged a Golden Snapper, Catfish and a Bream. Dylon nabbed a Javelin Fish before we pushed out of the creeks as the tide rose to give the boys a shot at a metre plus Queenfish. Luke was first to get a good follow and strike with a hook up before the Queenie had a screaming run and head shake to throw the hook. Dylon wa straight back into the water which saw him have a solid hook up and the certate 3000 reel screamed in pain as the Samaki rod bent over. The solid fish did some screaming runs testing Dylons stamina and footing before he got it under control and along side the boat where it was duly netted for the happy snaps coming in at 112cms!

Thursday we had Rodney Winen from Redhill, SA and Craig Thomas from Gulivare,SA where we crossed the harbour and targeted the top of the flats on the low spring tides where the fish were active and the Barra were firing. Hey everyone been a busy week on the viagra again and although we are on the neap tides this week the spring tides are coming around on the weekend and with some good low tides next week we expect the Barramudi to be coming on strong.

Last Tuesday the 19th we had Nick Waterman from Adelaide out with us for the full day on Darwin Harbour where we tried for the bigger Queenfish early on in the day but with a lot of wind chop stirring up the water and making for unpleasant conditions we pushed into the feeder creeks early with some limited success before the tide dropped adequately to target the mouths of the feeder creeks and flats with Nick nabbing 2 Javelin fish, 2 Bream and a Trevally before coming up with the well earned prize of a 60cm Barra which did some head shaking action and jumps along with some screaming runs before Nick got him under control and alongside the boat and into the net for the regulatory happy snaps!

Wednesday we had Hugh and Sarah from the Gold Coast out with us for the afternoon session with the tide dropping nicely to get the mouths of the creeks and the flats firing with the bait fish being marauded which saw Hugh get into 4 Bream and a Javelin Fish before getting slammed by a hard deep running fish which worked the drag on the Daiwa Caldia 2000 before coming up through the murky water to be a beautiful solid 55cm Brown Mowong. Not to be outdone Sarah persevered to nab 2 Catfish, a Flathead, a Bream, 2 Javelin Fish and 2 Cod before coming up trumps with the prize of a 55cm Barra!

Thursday afternoon we had Andrew Lette along with his 7 year old son Billy from Tasmania joined by Nick Borrows from Caloundra where again we had perfect tidal conditions for working the creek mouths and flats which saw Nick bag a Bream, a Catfish and a Javelin Fish and Andrew nab 2 Catfish and a Bream. Billy came up with the goods getting 4 Catfish,2 Bream and a Javelin Fish but once again Billy taking out the prize with a stunning 60cm Barramundi along with a smaller fish.

On Friday we had Burt Brendeo and Peter White out with us for the afternoon session but with the tides swinging around to the neaps and with that extra bit of water about the fish were not quite as active seeing Burt lose a nice Threadfin early in the session and nabbing just the one Bream after that and Peter catching just a Trevally and a Flathead for the session.

Monday afternoon we were out again with Louis Sacks from South Africa where we targeted the feeder creeks on the run out neap tide seeing a little bit of activity early in the session with Louis getting2 Javelin Fish and a Trevally on the Soft Plastics before the fish shut down mid afternoon.

Tuesday morning we had May Brain from Hervey Bay out with us for the morning session where we tried hard and fished harder in all the usual spots but with the neap tides at thier worst and with only a one metre variant we drew one of those rare sessions where we were out for a duck!

Tuesday afternoon were were out there again with Louis Sacks again along with his mate John Simpson also from South Africa and Sara from South Australia. With a bit more of a variant on the afternoon tide and with it running out we had some better success in the same spots we had tried in the morning. Louis took out the afternoon session with 3 Golden Snapper, 1 Trevally, 2 Flathead and a Queenfish on the light Soft Plastic gear. John managed 2 Golden Snapper and a Trevally while Sara caught a Javelin Fish before hooking up on a hard hitting and aerial jumping Queenfish that was just about to fall to the net and quite literally spat the hook straight at me hitting me square on the spotter sunglasses before sauntering off to the murky waters from whence it came.

Hey again everyone just trying to keep you all updated and keep on top of the reports as it’s been a busy week and with the weather conditions perfect in the coming week we should be busy on the water, perfect tidal conditions in the next few days as well with the low springs coming on we hope to be getting stuck into the Barramundi on the soft plastic outfits and with a few falling this last few days things are looking good.

Friday morning we had Colin Worthy and his son David and daughter Laura from Woolongong out with us for a session where we targeted the feeder creeks with Colin being the 1st to get into a Golden Snapper followed shortly aftet by another one seeing Colin nab 3 Golden Snapper and a Sole of all things on the Soft Plastics. Laura was rewarded with a small Javelin Fish for her efforts while David took out the size category with a 35cm Javelin Fish.

Friday Afternoon saw us out with Dave Burchett from London in the UK along with his brother Mike from Melbourne and Greg Densley from the sunshine Coast in QLD where we targeted the creek systems early on in the session before moving out to have a go at the metre plus Queenfish. Dave was first on strike in the feeder creeks seeing him nab a Golden Snapper followed shortly there after by a Silver Batfish. Mike nabbed a Golden Snapper and a catfish from the creeks while Greg got 2 Javelin Fish before getting a hard hitting 61cm Barramundi on the 4lb gear. We then pushed out of the creeks and started to flick some surface lures around for the Queenfish and although Greg had two good follows and one hit it was Dave who was successful with the hook up seeing a metre Queenfish come out of left field to hit and run with some screaming turns of the drag on the Certate 3000 reel before falling to the net for the obligatory happy snaps.

Saturday afternoon we had Ben Laxton from Hornsby in Sydney, NSW out with us on the water where we crossed the harbour our feeder creeks and with the spring tides coming on the low conditions early on in the afternoon were perfect for flicking the small Soft Plastics along the edges . Ben was on withinn the first 15 minutes seeing the little plastic get smashed by a hard hitting 63cm Barra which gave some good runs on the Daiwa Luvias 2000 reel before falling to the net for the happy snaps before being released back to the waters from where it came. Ben then caught a Trevally before coming up trumps again with a 58cm Barra in one of the creek systems with the same outcome as the previous fish!

Hey Guys and Gals, beautiful atlantic-drugs.net/products/elavil.htm’>weather here in Darwin again as I post this blog with the conditions being near perfect and with the spring tides coming on next week the Barra should be firing in the feeder creeks, we had some windy days last week  but with the wind abating we’ve been back on the water and getting amongst them.

Wednesday July 6th we had Phil Van Ryan and Jenny Craig from Sydney out with us for the morning session where we pushed across the harbour to the feeder creek systems flicking lures amongst the mangroves where the guys fished hard to see Phil hook up on a fish just as he was dropping his rod on a slack line which got wrapped around the top of the rod at just the wrong time to see the fish go on a run and pop the leader. The guys persevered but unfortunately to little avail for the rest of the morning.

Wednesday afternoon saw us back out again with Stuart Murdock and his two sons George and Hugh from SA. With the run out tide we targeted the same feeder creeks as the morning session which saw the boys get amongst them seeing George nab a bream, Trevally and a Catfish dropping a good Barra which would have gone 80cm plus spiting the hook close to the boat after getting air-bourne. Hugh nabbed a Trevally, a Flathead and a Javelin fish. Dad Stuart fared better catching a Catfish, a Trevally, a Javelin Fish but getting the prize of a 60cm Barramundi.

After a windy few days we were back on the water Tuesday 12th with Wayne from Devonport, TAS. With the wind still up we targeted one of the closer creeks flicking the Soft Plastics around the junctions seeing us hook into some nice Golden snapper getting 3 Golden Snapper to 40cms, 4 Javelin Fish, 2 Flathead and a Queenfish.

Wednesday morning we were out with Ken Jennings, Chris Pearce and Josh Pearce from Gippsland, VIC where with the wind abating we crossed the harbour to flick our Soft Plastics amongst the feeder creeks and drains on the run out tide seeing Josh nab a Catfish, Javelin Fish, a Golden Snapper and a bream before dropping a nice Barra at one of the creek mouths.Father Chris got 2 Javelin Fish and a Golden Snapper while Ken nabbed 2 Javelin Fish and also dropped a nice Blue Salmon.

Thursday we were out for the morning session with Alan Saxby, Alistair Chapman and Greg Densley with all the boys being from south Queensland. Alistair was first on hook up getting some screaming runs out of the little Caldia 2000 reel from a hard hitting Blue Salmon which spat the hook right at the boat. But not to be deterred Alistair was back among the Salmon half an hour later getting 2 blue Salmon for the morning along with a Bream and 2 Flathead. Greg nabbed a Trevally, Flathead and 4 Javelin Fish before hooking into a air-bourne Barra which did some screaming runs before falling t the net to measure in at 63cms. Although Alan worked hard for the morning he unfortunately drew a duck for the session.

Thursday afternoon we were out on the water with Robert and Chris from the Blue Mountains, NSW where we tried hard to put the boys on a Barra but with the tidal conditions being wrong we pushed out of the creeks to try and get amongst the metre plus Queenfish, after a few surface bust ups and a follow Chris had one good fish smash at the lure close to the boat but to no avail.

That’s all until the next report guys, stay tuned and Tight Lines And Screaming Reels To You All, Brian From Anglers Advantage Fishing Charters Darwin….Number 1 In Soft Plastics And Light Tackle Sports Fishing Charters.

With soe other species falling in between Nick was next to nab hard hitting Barra seeing a 58cm specimen fall to the net and with Jace not to be outdone catcging another 56cm fish shortly after which got duly airbourne trying to spit the hook to no avail.  That’s all until next time everyone, Until Then, Tight Lines And Screaming Reels To You All, Brian From Anglers Advantage Fishing Charters Darwin-Number 1 in Soft Plastics And Light Tackle Sports Fishing.

Hey everyone, been a while between reports I know but we’ve been busy on the water and mixing things up between what the winds and tides have been allowing us to do with most of the emphasis being on the creek systems and flicking Soft Plastics about and with a few Barra coming on the chew over the last week adding to the excitement.

Thursdat June 16th we had Peter Lane from Mackay and Barry from Adelaide out with us with Peter opting for the half day morning session and Barry along for the full day in what proved to be one of those exhausting days where we tried all the spots in the system that had been firing previously with Peter picking up a nice Javelin fish in the morning where we mixed it up late afternoon for Barry trying our arm at the Queenfish with 5 follows and two hook ups which threw the hooks, it just wasn’t meant to be on the day!

On the Friday 17th we had Richard Quamby and Paul Hole from Bussleton in WA out with us on the morning session where we targeted the closer creeks due to the windy conditions with Paul hooking up two Toadfish before getting slammed by something much bigger on the 4lb Bream outfits with some solid runs before falling to the net for some happy snaps in the form of a 5kg 65cm solid Brown Mowong. Richard managed to bag a nice Javelin fish in the difficult conditions.

Saturday June 18th we had Adam Wojcicki and Norm Brown from Newcastle along with Shane Newham from Port Macquaire out with us for the morning session in the still windy conditions where again we had to stick to the closer creek systems and we targeted the mangroved lined sand-flats first up flicking the small slugs around on the light tackle spin outfits with a hook up on the 1st cast for Shane resulting in a small Mackerel coming boat-side. Norm was next on the hook up with a small Queenfish falling victim to the light tackle spin outfit. With the wind conditions worsening we pushed up into the creeks where we worked the Soft Plastics hard before Norm cane up trumps with a solid hook up on a nice Brown Mowong which ran for cover but to no avail on the dropping tide we pushed in close to the mangrove stubs to get the fish alongside and in the net for the camera shot. Shane also had a solid hook up in the creek but unfortunately this fish ran for cover and found a nice oyster clad structure to bust him off on! Adam also unfortunately worked hard but to no avail.

Monday June 20th we had Paul and Richard out with us again  for the afternoon session this time in much more pleasant conditions which allowed us to push across the harbour to our better creek systems and with the tided dropping nicely we were on for a nuch better session with Paul nabbing a Trevally and a nice Javelin fish and dropping a nice Barra as it hit the lure getting airbourne at the feel of the little mustad aberdeen jig head lodged briefly in it’s mouth before spitting it out much to everyone’s disdain. Richard fared much better with a Trevally, Javelin fish, Flathead and a Fingermark but also bagging 2 Barramundi to 58cms on the light tackle Soft Plastic Bream outfits with Richard also dropping another nice Barra before we gave the boys a shot at the larger Queenfish. Right on the last cast of the day and just outside of Richards peripheral vision the metre plus Queenfish shot in and grabbed the quickly retrieved metal lure just at the boatside before screaming off the drag on the Certate 3000 reel puting on some spectacular jumps and back flips before coming on deck for the regulatory happy snaps before being released to fight another day.

On the Tuesday we had Vern and Jenny Gridland from Palmerstone along with Neill rom Bondi, NSW out with us for the full day where on the rising tide in the morning we targeted the Queenfish and although we worked hard in all the usual bays and inlets the fish were uncooperative with only the one follow. We pushed into the creeks on the early afternoon run out tide where we flicked the Soft Plastics about into the bays and cut ins in the feeder creeks which saw Neill nab a Queenfish 1st up followed by 2 Beam and 2 Trevally. Jenny nabbed a Golden Snapper, a Javelin Fish, a Trevally and a small Barra for the afternoon with Vern fairing the best with a nice Brown Mowong, Archer Fish, Javelin Fish, Bream, 3 Trevally and also a small Barramundi for the session.

Wednesday we had Gary Benney from Rockhampton and Keith Pearce out with us for the afternoon session where again we targeted the feeder creeks with the Soft Plastics outfits withboththe boys doing well seeing Keith nab 2 Golden Snapper, 2 Trevally and a Bream with Gary bagging 4 Golden Snapper, 2 Bream, a Trevally and a Queenfish for the afternoon session.

Thursday and Friday I had to do a 1st aid course so we can keep you guys safe on the water!

Saturday we had Helen Tizard from Gosford, NSW along with Dale Van Beem from Perth, WA where again we pushed across the harbour to the feeder creek systems which saw Helen get in the mix with 2 Trevally, 2 Bream, a Batfish!, a Archer Fish and 2 Golden Snapper. Dale also fared well with 4 Trevally, 2 Bream, A Blue Threadfin Salmon, 3 Golden Snapper, A Pike and a Butter Bream.
