A better week on the water this week everyone with the fresh beginning to clear out of thr systems and bringing some clarity back also opening up the waterways to us although mid week thrugh until friday had us sheltering in the creeks out of the howling winds.
Thursday we had Neil from Fish Creek in Victoria out with us on Maroochy River where we had the run out tide and difficult conditions to boot to only manage a couple of small Flathead to the boat. Thursday afternoon however saw us on Maroochy River again with Tim, Karra and Sig from Brisbane where we had the run in tide which saw Karra take out the boys with 6 Flathead and 2 bream with Tim getting 6 Bream and 1 Flathead and Sig landing 4 Flathead.
Friday Afternoon we were back on Maroochy again with Peter and his two sons Harrisson and Chris from Melbourne in dreadful windy conditions which saw us pushing into petrie Creek to get some shelter unfortunately the fish didn’t have the same idea with Harrisson managing a bream and Peter getting two Flathead to 35cms.
Saturday Morning we were on Maroochy River again with Scott and his Son Jack from Aredrossan in South Australia which saw Father and Son having some sibling rivalry going on with Jack getting on the board early on with 3 small Flathead along with a 42cm specimen, a trevally, a Bream and a Catfish to booy. Scott came good with a 50cm Flathead, 3 smaller Flathead, a silver Bream and a 30cm Grunter Bream, all in all a good afternoons work.
Sunday Afternoon saw us on Maroochy River with Tony from Sippy Downs, Peter from NZ and Anthony from Bli Bli where the jokes were thick and fast and the fishing saw peter with 2 small Bream and 4 Flathead with Tony getting into the stick fish eventually landing 2 Flathead and a Whiting with Anthony getting a nice 30cm Grunter Bream and 2 Flathead.
That’s about it for this week everyone, until next week Tight Lines and Screaming Reels to you all, Brian From Anglers Advantage, Number One On the Sunshine Coast For Soft Plastic Fishing Tours/Charters.
