Hey everyone, some good days on the water this week with a mixed bag of species with the water temperature dropping even more this week getting into the 16 degree mark for the 1st time.

On Tuesday morning we had Tony and Kathy out on the Pumicestone Passage for a half day where Kathy was first on the Flathead with the final tally also falling to Kathy 3-1 on what was a cold morning with the winter Bream still not on the run down there but watch this space as there shuold be a big run of  Bream shortly.

Thursday we were back on Maroochy river again for an all day session with Noel from Melbourne. We targeted the lower reaches first in windy conditions where Noels very first cast caught him a  Bream. We Fished the lower reaches for a couple hours for more small Bream and Flathead before heading to the middle reaches which were still pretty brown and shut down before coming back down a bit to some clearer water where on the change of tide we got the hot bite we were after nabbing Flathead, Bream, Trevally and two school Jewfish.

Then in the last hour we pushed up Petrie creek to get out of the wind and despite the water temp being 17 degrees on the second cast the little Stella 1000 screamed drag and after a few good runs and a fight all the way to the boat we got a nice 45cm Mangrove Jack.

Friday afternoon we had Lee and John from Brisbane with us on Maroochy again where we went back to our Jew hole spot  where John got a nice 47cm school Jew and two Bream with Lee getting two small flatties and a nice 30cm Silver Bream along with a small Trevally.

Saturday morning we had Terry from Ballarat in Victoria joined by Dave from the Gold Coast where the boys got some small Flathead and Bream with Terry dropping a bigger fish and being ahead in the stakes early on but Dave was bringing them in strong at the end with the boys getting about 6 fish each.

That’s all for this week guys, Rain coming down as I write this so here’s hoping it clears for the week, Until next week Tight Lines and Screaming Reels to you all, Brian from Anglers Advantage The Number 1 in Soft Plastics Fishing Charters on The Sunshine Coast.
