The offshore action is just begining to fire on the inner reefs with the Snapper finally making themselves known with the water temperature dropping and these hard hitting fish smashing the Soft Plastics.

Wednesday Afternoon we had Gus from Coolum out with us on an Offshore trip where we left the ramp at 1:30and tracked north casting a couple of slugs into the wash at Old Woman Island where Gus hooked up on a Long tom that jumped and carried on before spitting the hook. Further north we trekked and dropped some 7″ Plastics where we caught 2 Squire early on before getting a 2kg Snapper aboard before Gus hooked up on a fish that came straight at him before realising it was hooked and made a few solid runs toward the reef before falling to the net to be a nice just undersized Cobia. Gus eventually got the hook up he was after with some solid runs and head shaking happening an a nce 3kg Snapper fell to the net, we also bagged 2 Pearl Pearch and a cod along with 5 Snapper for the session.

Saturday Morning we were offshore again with Adam from Wurtulla and Daniel from Little Mountain where we chilled our ears on a 6am start across the bay with Daniel getting the first solid hook up with the head shaking we correctly called a Snapper which gave some solid runs before falling to the net, Daniel was back in shortly after with another solid hook up on a bigger fish that unfortunately make a solid run to the reef to get that nasty grating feeling and the ever longing ping of slack line, Adam hooked up with a weighty fish that came up to the neat as a Maori Cod. We also boated a Spangled Emperor along with would you believe a Flathead as well as the ever beautiful Grinner along with a couple of small Cod.
