Hello once again everyone I’m a little behind with the fishing reports-my apologies, we have been busy on the charter work and had some other things happening ( was at the retailers convention on the Gold Coast last week spoting all the new gear for 2011 ).

On Sunday the 8th we had Vince from Alexandra Headland and Chris from Buderim out with us on Maroochy River for the morning session where Chris was in early with a Flathead to be followed up for the Morning with 2 more Flathead and a Bream. Chris however topped the show with A Bream, 5 small Flathead and a 44cm Flathead to then top it off with a beautiful 64cm specimen.

Tuesday the 10th we had Petrus and Rochelle from Brisbane out with us on Maroochy Rivere with Petrus getting 3 Flathead and 2 Bream, Rochelle fared better with 2 Trevally, 2 Bream and 4 Flathead.

Wednesday we had Darren and Ronnie out with us on Maroochy for an all day session with the boys getting into a hot bite on the Bream early on in the middle reaches with Darren getting 3 Bream in 3 casts! to be followed by another 2 on the next drift through the same area with Ronnie catching 2 Bream and a Flathead in the same drift. We pushed up to the middle reaches where I wet a line myself to be rewarded with a 75cm specimen. Darren ended up with 7 Bream and 6 Flathead for the day with Ronnie catching 4 Flathead and 3 Bream.

The Weekend saw me down the Gold Coast for the Retailers and Trade convention and I will do a separate blog for you guys on what’s new in the trade and what tackle and lures to look out for in the coming season.

Tuesday afternoon we were on Maroochy River with Paul, his daughter Tracy and grandkid Brenna fron NZ where Brenna did good to land a nice Silver Bream along with another Bream and 2 Flathead for the afternoon. Tracy knocked over 4 Bream while Paul took in a Flathead and 2 Bream for the session.

on Wednesday morning we had Louie from Victoria out with us on Maroochy River where Louie nabbed a Bream early on before the little Sol 2000′s drag went screaming off with a Trevallyto blame  and after a few long hard runs which saw Louie hitting overdrive on adrenalin it eventually fell to the net much to Louie’s delight. With another 2 bream in the bag for the session and a couple of missed strikes we rounded the morning off for a bag of 4.

Friday morning we were on the Maroochy River again with Matt from Sydney and Anthony from Bli Bli where Anthony was in early on with a nice Trevally that fought hard before hooking up on something solid, “it’s a stick” was the original quote before the “stick” woke up and went on a solid run to be followed by a few more before falling to the net to be a nice solid 62cm Flathead, Anthony bagged 3 more Flathead and 2 Bream. Matt bagged 4 Bream and 4 Flathead before getting nailed in the middle reaches with a solid hook up and a screaming run which saw the fish take a lot of line off the Sol 2000 reel running all the way across the river before we chased it down a bit with the electric Minn Kota where it did a few more runs and weaves around the boat before falling to the net to be a nice 53cm Trevally!

That’s all for the time being folks, Until next time Tight Lines And Screaming Reels To You All, Brian From Anglers Advantage Fishing Charters/Tours….. Number 1 in S
