Hey guys just to let you know as the water temperatures are dropping the Jewfish are beginning to turn up in the system and we should have a good seaon with them this year as the minimum size was increased from 40cms to 75cms last year and at the tail end of last season we had some good action.
We had Jason from Bray Park and Jeremy from Caboolture out with us on Maroochy River for a full day session today where we targeted the lower reaches first up before the wind got up with some success with small Flathead and Bream before heading up through the middle reaches and all the way up to the top end for early afternoon. Jeremy ended up with a nice 30cm Grunter Bream along with 4 Silver Bream and 2 Flathead. Jason got 6 Bream and 6 Flathead before coming up trumps with a nice 62cm Jewfish to be followed shortly after to the boat with a Flathead that was in the high 6ocm mark if not low 70cms only to spit the hook at the surface.
Stay tuned guys and gals for more reports, Brian from Anglers Advantage… Number 1 on the Sunshine Coast for that personal fishing experience in Fishing Charters, Until next time Screaming Reels and Tight Lines To You All.
